In this episode of The Lit Up Life Podcast, I break down why the magic that creates real results in your life and business isn't random. It's built through a specific loop most high achievers are only halfway through.
I share what I brought back from a weekend retreat called Meant for Magic and why the concept stopped me in a new way: magic isn't mystical, it's predictable. The real reason most driven women are missing it isn't a strategy problem. It's a receiving problem. We're wired to create, produce, and execute. But receiving — support, compliments, money, opportunities, ease — that's where we close off. And closed systems don't let magic in.
I also get into what it actually costs to step into your next level. It costs some comfort, some predictability, and sometimes it disrupts relationships that were built around an older version of you. That disruption doesn't mean something is wrong. It means it's working.

The Magic That Creates Results in Your Life and Business
If you have a money problem, it's not a money problem. It's a receiving problem.
Most high-achieving women I know are exceptional creators. They build things, execute on ideas, show up consistently, and produce results. They have vision. They have work ethic. And yet there's a ceiling they keep hitting, a place where the effort stops compounding and starts just... draining.
That ceiling isn't a strategy problem. It's not a branding problem or a visibility problem. It's a receiving problem.
The Receive-Create Loop
Magic, the kind that creates real results in your life and business, lives in a loop. Not a closed loop, but a spiral. It moves between two things: receiving and creating. Creating and receiving. Most of us have the creating side locked in. We get things done. We push forward. But receiving? That's where we close off.
Receiving looks like accepting support without deflecting it. Letting a compliment land instead of minimizing it. Saying yes when someone offers to buy you coffee. Allowing ease into your life without immediately filling it with more to-do's.
When we can't receive, we cap what we can create. And when we cap what we can create, we limit the results that come back to us. Creation without receiving leads to burnout. It leads to resentment. It leads to working harder and wondering why nothing is expanding.
Why Your Brain Is Working Against You
Your brain is not designed for expansion. It's designed to predict and protect. So when you start moving toward something bigger, your brain does exactly what it's supposed to do: it pulls up every past experience that felt like risk, every worst-case scenario it can construct, every old story about what happens when things don't work out.
This isn't a character flaw. There's nothing wrong with you. The problem is when we let that predict-and-protect function lead us. When we stay safe instead of staying open. Because when we're closed off, magic doesn't flow in. Closed systems don't receive.
What Your Next Level Actually Costs
Living a lit up life costs something. It costs some comfort. It costs some predictability. And sometimes it costs the version of certain relationships that were built around who you used to be.
That last one is the part most people don't want to look at. But here's the truth: your next level will disrupt your current reality. That disruption doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. It means it's working. The people in your life who haven't caught up to the new version of you may still get there. And your job isn't to shrink back to make that easier for them.
It also requires your nervous system to catch up. Growth isn't always smooth. There's a reason upleveling feels like squirrel brain sometimes. Building support around yourself during those seasons isn't weakness. It's how you stay in the loop instead of stepping off it.
Three Ways to Start Today
You don't need a massive identity overhaul to begin. You need three small, consistent practices.
Practice receiving daily. When someone offers to buy you coffee, let them. When someone pays you a compliment, say thank you and let it land. Notice where you deflect and get curious about it.
Create something small every day. It doesn't have to be polished or perfect. Creation signals readiness. A post, a voice note, a paragraph. Just create something and celebrate that you did.
Challenge one fear story. Pick one thing your brain is telling you and test it in a small, safe way. Ask yourself: is this actually true? If I do X, will Y really happen? Ninety-nine percent of the time, it won't.
Becoming Someone Who Creates Magic On Demand
The woman who lives her next level receives without deflecting. She takes aligned action without forcing it. She trusts herself deeply. She stays when it's uncomfortable and builds support around herself when she's upleveling.
That version of you isn't someone you have to become from scratch. She's already in you. You wouldn't be able to see her if she weren't. The work is learning to receive her.
The loop is already in motion. Your job is to complete it.
